The goal of Carissa Mann, Dramatic Arts Director, is to “develop new patterns of creativity to brighten our young ‘stars’ of Washington Island .”
STUDENT ACTIVITIES AND PERFORMANCES

Kindergarten-6th Grades loved using their imaginations and were introduced to new Theater Games along with celebrating Shakespeare's Birthday. Third - Sixth: The 3rd through 6th Grade Students read from Macbeth and watched a movie pertaining to of Shakespeare's work. The younger students worked with puppets and performed interviews with “aliens,” using their imaginations to the fullest. THE DRAMA CLUB
The Drama Club, which now includes members of the 7th/8th grade, had a busy year. In November, they performed School Bus Romance at the TPAC; in February, they raised funds for their drama trip to see the musical WICKED! at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. In addition, they participated monthly in Center Stage, always putting on a "show" for the dedicated audience. Some Drama Club members got their feet wet by learning backstage hair and makeup techniques, which they used on the swimmers in the Spring Synchro Show. In May, Drama Club member Alec Reiss was acknowledged for his dramatic talent and success by the Sturgeon Bay Rotary Club. He was awarded a certificate at the Club’s Fine Arts Banquet.
